Since I've been relatively quiet on the blog recently, I thought it was about time to give a better update of our current goings on.
This past weekend we spent Mother's Day with our Moms, eating at DaVinci's in Lewiston and bringing plenty of leftovers home. It was a beautiful day and it's always nice to get downtown in our home town. It's so easy to fall into the routine of going from Portland and home again and not getting out to stimulate our local economy :) (pics to come)
The weekend before was our trip up to VT to celebrate Abram's graduation from Champlain College, yippeee! We had a great trip, nice drive over, longer than normal due to intensive BLASTING, but otherwise smooth. Then, as a lovely birthday surprise, Eugenia and I went to get pedicures - a first for me, pampering is always a treat. I think I'm hooked and have found a place in L-ton where I can turn when I need to feel beautiful.
This is Olympia the snow woman in Bethel, she's melted a bit, but still over 6 stories high!
Graduation!

One of the highlights of our visit was a chance to take care of Eva for a while when others were away at the graduation ceremony. We got some really fun one-on-one time with her, she's really quite a ham, and already learning the piano. The week before, we became Uncle and Aunt once again, with the birth of Jack Thomas Lazure. I'm still lacking pictures, but soon we'll be making a visit so I'm sure you'll all see more than enough. We hear that he is happy and healthy and we can't wait to meet him soon.
Luke and I are still plugging away ... as you can see from the ticker to the right though, the time is almost here when we'll both be free of some of the burdens that are making life kind of stressful at the moment. Just a month + and he'll be leaving Citi and I'll be finished with my thesis. No doubt other things will arise, but those are two big hurdles that we're both looking forward to leaving behind.
